    About The Coffee 

    To ensure the highest quality coffee, Sitio Morada do Passoros follows sustainable and ethical farming practices. They prioritise the health of their plants and the conservation of the natural environment. This includes implementing natural fertilisers, using organic pest control methods, and protecting the habitat of the many bird species that call the farm home.

    The Region

    To improve their production and take advantage of the region's favourable conditions for growing high-quality coffee, Wanderley and Flávio decided to focus on speciality coffees. They invested in new machinery, renovated their patios, and rebuilt a small barn where they store their coffee in wooden boxes, separating the different lots. The farm has also received technical assistance from Cooxupé and SMC to help them learn more about soil and plant nutrition, harvesting techniques, and planning and mapping.

    The farm gets its name, "Morada dos Pássaros," from the diverse range of bird species that can be found there. In English, this translates to "bird’s home." It's a fitting name for a farm that places such a strong emphasis on conservation and sustainability.

    In addition to producing high-quality coffee, Sitio Morada do Passoros also places a strong emphasis on education and community involvement. They work with local schools to educate young people about the importance of sustainability and the coffee industry.
