Herminio named his farm, El Carpintero, or ‘The Woodpecker’ because of the wealth of birds on his land. he inherited his land 20 years ago & says, “I have always worked on it to sustain my family. I am now 57 years old & excited to continue learning new processes.”
Herminio loves working in coffee & thinks it's beautiful & is committed to teaching younger generations how to be aware of the ecological impact & environment. While he shares his experiences, he learns from the youth, he explains. He feels proud to be working with his family & feels excited about the idea of generating work in the community.
