The majority of the 1 million Pa-O are agriculturalists. This fully washed lot is from five indigenous Pa-O villages combined in Pinlaung Township. The village names are Wa Lee, Wa Ran, Pein Nay Gone, Pingalar and Ta Ngo. Due to wars and conflicts, the Pa-O people escaped to the mountains of Shan State decade ago. In recent years they have collectively as an ethnic group, sought development and education for their children.
Working alongside the Pa-O coffee farmers, to support these plans, Behind the Leaf Coffee buy ripe cherries the day they are picked and process washed and natural lots at their station in Ta Ngo village.
This coffee can only be from Myanmar, with heavy spice, fruit & full body. YUM.
