Nyeri County has cool temperatures & fertile highlands, lying between the Great Rift Valley & the Western slopes of Mt. Kenya. Coffees from Nyeri develop & mature slowly producing dense, high quality beans.

Ichuga wetmill is part of Kiama Farmers’ Cooperative Society, one of a few washing stations that form the coop group based in the area. The mill processes an average of 270,000kg of coffee cherrieS per year sourced from over 700 farmers. The total farmed area is 549 acres with individual trees yielding between 5 & 10kg of cherries per season

Once wet processed, the coffee is delivered to Sagana dry mill where it is rested in parchment for 3 weeks before being hulled, cleaned & graded by bean size. In this case 'AB'
